Nice picture...............I spent most of the day dodging traffic around the speedway. When you live close, it gets hard to move around. What a great race. Ironhead Jr. deserved to win that one. He drove a great race. He did well in the 24, and the 500. Can you imagine if he decided to race outboards?

Dave, Nice picture. Have always wanted to attend Speed Week in Daytona. That picture is early or at the start since Waltrip was still right side up. Jr deserved that win, he drove his a** off. Way to go Jr. His Dad won Daytona 6 years ago today, and was killed three years ago today. Both events Feb 15. Think Sr was riding with Jr today?

Way to go JR

Today I was really productive...

This morning and afternoon I assembled the Mark 25 powerhead going on a 20H conversion tower, assembled the rewind, and cut some gaskets.:D Now I get to do homework till friday, then go home to try to finish this motor so I can bring it to a boat show in a couple of weeks.

Oh yeah, and my parents gave me my birthday present, an SRP lifejacket, looks NEW, and my dad even got it cleaned and inspected!!!

Treadguy, I feel like I spent most of the day sitting in traffic....

Sam, no but maybe he saw me

****, what a bunch of people BUT what a lack of facilities, there were 3, count them, 3 portajohns at the turn 2 end of the backstretch stands

Pro350hydro, ya, he was the class of the field, I don't think anybody had anything for him. It was real early, Martin was still running too.

Dan, baby diapers???

It might be a neat idea to invite someone famous to come to a boat race to drive a boat in a race. Maybe like a pro-am celebrity type thing. It might bring a lot more attention to our sport. I'd invite someone famous to drive one of my boats, but mine are all old P.O.S. (lol)
I spent Saturday working on my Dad's Vette. Port matching the heads, new camshaft, timing chain, etc. Maybe this year it will leave the driveway. It's been parked for 3 years in the garage.

I spent Sunday morning at Church, then the afternoon changing a few dirty diapers and looking at this thing below:

I am trying to figure where your seat was in the infield. Were you in one of the stands on the back stretch? If you were, the camera you used is a REALLY GOOD one. My Dad used to be the doctor at the Daytona track years ago and I got to spend some quality growing up years there.

The seats were on the backstretch, about halfway up in the section at the exit of turn 2 and yes it is a pretty good camera.
Sony DSC-F717, it's the same one Dan is using. If you're looking for a digital camera you might look at these as it is going to be replaced and the prices have been going down some.

Jeff,

From the looks of it, it looks like you were sitting in the same section as Dave. :D :D :D
