Why is there no stock outboard races in Missouri??

The only one I have seen in outboards is SST out of Creve Couer Lake in St. Louis.

Can anyone give me some insight on this?

I would like to attend a race. Have been interested in Stock Outboards since I was young, but never had to opportunity to see it first hand.

Any other people from Missouri on here?

There are boat races in Missouri and there are members of this board that live in Missouri.

Two places I can think of off hand: Mexico, MO & Rockaway Beach, MO.

I'm sure you'll get more info from one of the MO racers shortly.

The ODA which is St Louis based club puts on 5-7 races all within 5 hours of St Louis. We race in Roackaway Beach, MO which is by Branson. We race in Quincy, IL 2 times a year which is 21/2 hours from St Louis. We have a race in Centralia, Il which is 1 hour from St Louis. We also race in Cedar Rapids, IA. We are having our annual meeting and banquet this weekend and I will post dates.

Thanks for the info.

I live in Jefferson City (Central Missouri). We never have any races that I am aware of around here.

Any other Missourians out there?

I live in Mexico, MO just up U.S. Highway 54 from Jefferson City. We run 2 cylinder classes ( BH and 25MH ). The only Missouri race at this time is at Rockaway Beach MO ( 9 miles east of Branson ) on Lake Taneycomo, the first weekend in June. The only stock classes are the Yamato 80 and 102 and these are sometimes integrated with the Hot Rod engines. Feel free to contact me if you need more information.
