Berwick Race

The Berwick race is scheduled for Sept. 16th, 17th and 18th 2011. This race will be the North American Championships for C-Stock, B-Stock and A-Stock runabouts. Prize Monies and Gas Cards, 1st thru 3rd and gas card for 4th places. Saturday will be the NAC's and trophy presentation will be at the Pit Party scheduled on Saturday night.

The Town of Berwick is putting on fireworks, Consession and Vender mall. Their will be conserts Saturday and Sunday or the music fans.
The Mall will have activities for Family and Kids all day Sat. and Sun.
We have a sponcor for the J-Project, a sorrenson J-hydo with a J-engine presented to a Berwick new racer, if available, or to a new J-Driver to race for one year.
The Pits are very simular to Lockhaven with plenty of RV parking/camping and trailer parking with a large ramp for hot pits. Lots of shade for race families to view the races.
The races schedule will include all SO, MOD, J's and some PRO's.
Race site 1hr 30 min east of Lockhaven, 45 min. west from Northeast Pa. Turnpike, and 30 min. west from Rt 81. on Rt 80 in Pennsylvania.

We are planning a J school testing and will use the rest of the time for testing all other classes. Glad to see you. Looks like a good time with plenty of racing and other activities.

Here are a few pictures of the Berwick Race Site. Prize monies, Trophies and gas cards are ready for the North American Championships. We will need to get your support this year so that we can have a next year and eliminate the schedule conflick will Crystal Lake with a change of date and have two race sites. The Town of Berwick is celabration the 225th anniversary, this year, and is behind us. They have put out the welcome mat for Stock Outboard Racing.

Dates are official and circular is on APBA.org. Berwick Brewing Company will be he unofficial headquarters for the racers and they are also sponsoring the Riverfest. The owner and brewer Tom is a friend and makes some great beer and food at his riverside brewery. Also, there are North American Championships for the top runabout classes, ASR, BSR, and CSR. GOT TO MAKE THIS ONE!!!

As you know we are at the mercy of mother nature. So here is the story, last week we had 6 to 7 feet of water in the center of the river and 3 ft of water 5 feet from the shore line. My son and I maped the river with a depth finder for the body of water that we will race on. So don't let any rumors get started about Berwick. You call Me and I will tell you from the horse's mouth. And for the rumor that we have alligators, you can put that to rest, we have removed them all, I think.

We've scaled our race schedule down to only CVRA races from now on. We won't be in Berwick. I think Team Romberg will be representing CVRA though.....maybe you can give Kurt a call?

I would like to thank my Dad and Bill Walker and Jim Shotwell for a huge effort in trying to make this race happen it seemed like everything that could go wrong did and a big thanks to the people in Berwick for getting on board rarely does a town give the support like they do I will be saying lots of prayers that this race can still be pulled off and I will do everything in my power to help this happen and thank you DVORA for supporting too everyone involved are top notch people in my book
