Have been looking around to see if there are any old slider pipe pull handles out there in your garages that might need a new home.

If anyone has any, please let me know.

Thanks,
Brian 10s

Brian, if he had enough ordered, Ernie Dawe has the Desilva castings, but does not have any of the pipe pullers in stock.

Daren,
I have email Ernie and although he does not have any in stock he is willing to produce a batch. I just thought I would check here and see is anyone had 1 or 2 in their garage before I asked Ernie to make more.

That and I don't need brand new.

Thanks,
Brian

Yeah, It looks like I am stricking out on the used. I thought some of our pro friends would have some laying in the garage that they might want to get rid of. :(

If you guys put in an order with Ernie, let me know. It looks like he is the only one producing these and everyone is holding onto what they have.

I found the DeSilva type of puller was by far the nicest I used, BUT !!

Why not make your own ? It's not THAT hard.

If you get me a fax #, I'll draw you out a diagram for a design I made.

Easy to make-----It's a piece of galv. tension bar for a chain link fence !

I got the idea from Gibby Peterman, a Innovator in the PRO Division who is sadly no longer with us.

Send me an email (couldn't send you one first) and I will reply back with fax number.

Thanks,

I know I could make my own but I think for about $60 I will have a really nice slide handle that should last the rest of my racing career and I'll probably be able to sell it for the same thing I paid in about 20 years from now.

Guys- what style are you talking about?
Is it like Goller's where the whole assembly slides, or the type I've seen where you add a lever to pull the pipe.
If it's the latter, I would be interested in one.
Thanks.

we are talking about the very nice cast desilva lever that mounts in front of the throttle, ernie is having more of them cast, he said they were $51 but may go up depending on casting cost, if your interested in ordering one his e mail is dawecraftboats@aol.com

The "DeSilva"one is a nice style. If youre like me and used a König throttle, it helps to remove a section in the horizontal area between the two vertical areas. As a side note, if you are laying down push/pull the pipe with your feet. And get a "Rossi" style throttle that has the movable part in front.
