Hey John,
I am pretty sure this was a boat that Craig Selvidge built for a guy named John McDonald who worked down at the old Craig Craft Shop on the Edmonds Waterfront before it burned down in 1977.
John was to run it in C Service, and may have raced it. Then it went to Dave Tonge, who at one time has probably owned every last 13' D Runabout built or raced in Region 10 since 1962 :) That's where the number came from on it---it used to be 85-R. I think Dave sold it to Leif Erickson who raced it, then Scott Poindexter may or may not have had it.
Eventually it ended up at WIR in the hands of Jack Shetler who is driving that boat in the picture. Looks like it may be Sharla Shetler, his daugher, deck riding in it; back when she was a little thing. I'mm guessing this pic is circa 1983-84.
Please don't tell us you bought ANOTHER boat....
Cheers,
R-19/84-R

Thanks for the quick reply Pat, There will be no more additions to my boat collection this year except for the C-Hydro that's half done. This Runabout in the photo is sitting in Archie Sr's barn in need of repair, what's interesting about the boat, there are 2 steel cables that run from the front of the boat and tie into the transom. I also thought since the photo came from Archie that it was Himself and jr riding in it. I will soon start posting the progress of the TIGER CSR restoration project. LMK if someone is interested in my Pricecraft runabout. John 962R
