Site change due to Holiday Inn of Winter Haven being booked.

New location is free rental for the day.

Directions:
From the North & South;
I-95 to exit 208. Go LEFT at the off ramp to the traffic light. Make a LEFT onto Grissom Parkway to the 1st traffic light and make a RIGHT onto Fay Blvd. Continue to the 2nd traffic light and make a RIGHT onto Carole Ave. Approx ½ mile on the RIGHT is the library.

From the West;
SR 528 (Beeline) East, bear to the RIGHT towards Cape Canaveral and the Cruise Terminals to I-95. Take I-95 North to exit 208 and bear RIGHT on the off ramp to the traffic light. Make a LEFT onto Grissom Parkway to the 1st traffic light and make a RIGHT onto Fay Blvd. Continue to the 2nd traffic light and make a RIGHT onto Carole Ave. Approx ½ mile on the RIGHT is the library.

TIME CHANGE:
To accomadate those travelling a distance I am pushing back the start time of the meeting to 11:00 am. I hope this helps.

CLARIFICATION:
This meeting place was chosen for several reasons:
1.) Holiday Inn at Winter Haven had all meeting rooms booked for the entire weekend. I apologize for the inconvience as I was late in calling to make the reservations.

2.) The weekend following the current date is a Valentines Day as well as the Daytona 500 and as we found last year this is not that feasible due to traffic and it will provide all of us the time to spend with our other halfs and make them happy so we can continue to put forth our many hours into this sport.

3.) The only person who made the decision to change the location was ME!! I received no other input from anyone on this and I can only hope that everyone will understand.

4.) There are no hidden agendas here folks. I try to do what is best fopr everyone and not just one group. I hope that you all can see this. This is why I thought you wanted me in the Region Chair position as an open minded person who tried to treat everyone as equals, please feel free to let me know if you think otherwise. I would like to know your opinion from you. Please do not hesitate to call me anytime. The few times I am unable to answer my cell phone is when I'm at work and on an emergency call, there is voice mail and I will return your call as soon as I can, be patient though it may take several hours or even the next day before I can get back to you.

5.) Understand this - Yes I do race in the OPC category, however as most of you know whenever needed I can and will climb into anything to drive it, I have no adverse feelings towards any category and would like leave it this way. I am in the process of getting a J rig together for Becky to drive, so I do plan on being around. The last thing I want to do is make people angry so that they are bitter towards my family and I, I have spent many years in this sport and continue to do so for my love of boat racing as well as the comraderie and friendships of the people that come out and race with us.


I hope this puts a better light on the subject as to the change made at the last minute. I do apologize for any inconvience it may cause to you. Again either email me or call me anytime you feel it necessary.

US 1 North into Port St. John you will pass an FPL plant on the right and a Winn Dixie shopping center on the Left at the next traffic light take a Left (Eckerds on L corner) go across the railroad tracks and take a Left at the light. Approx 1/2 mile on the Right is the library.
