I had constant coughing for over 3 weeks, along with shortness of breath and weasing in my lungs. Apparently it was pneumonia, but it was some strain that wasn't accompanied by a fever or other typical side effects.
Finally got some antibiotics and some inhaler thing. MUCH better now.
hope you feel better soon!

Guys, as strange as it sounds, the coughing is your body saying it needs oxygen...the bronchial tubes are stopped down due to allergies and mucus doesn't get aspirated and blown out like normal...hence pneumonia.
Been there, done that, and have an inhaler at home that I consult everytime I realize I'm coughing and don't have a cold.
It's dangerous stuff, and needs to be treated or you'll run on to real problems!
Dust, mold, "fiberglass sandings" lots of things will trigger it.
Think "asthma" before you think cold or flu... a bunch of the time you'll be right.

Yeah I also have exercise induced bronchial spasms. So I have to use the inhaler 1/2 before running or anything, especially when its cold out (winter).

Thanks Dan and you are so right! But I had the aches and low energy also for 7 full day. It was good to be better enough so I didnt cough all through the Drs office! He said, "Broncitus" and the xray confirmed no major stuff! But that phnemonia stuff is bad and after hearing about it from Drew, I learned others had spent time in the Hospital and now were on inhalers to treat the remaining Ashpma. Take heed out there, dont sit around suffering!
Antibiotics seem to be working even though the cough persists.
Off to get the new boat! It's an Eliminator! The yellow Aquacraft will be given to a new racer after paint drys..... This way I'll have time to put the wifes boat together and simply bolt my blown motor into the 'Black Bad Attitude' .
Now that I have a faster boat, you might be wondering: will I be faster? NO! still plan on running the most fun class ever: Ski Boat GPS!

Glad your feeling better, sounds like some serious crud....
Saw pics of the new ride, I like it, looks great. Drive safe picking it up, cant wait to see it in person. Better put a throttle stop on that thing if your gonna keep from breaking out.

Yep I get sick all the time this season from working on construction sites , you just seem to shake it and you get it again off the next guy with a cold .
For the first time ever I had a flu shot with the h1n1 included because the misses is preg and I thought it might be wise , so far only colds no full blown muscle aching flu so fingers crossed .
Hope your on the mend Jerkmate :)

Dave, glad to hear you are feeling better. We have all had the crud here too. Think I got hit the hardest and finally had to cut the work day due to exhaustion. Feeling like I am beating it back now but still coughing up a lung on a daily basis. Will be glad when it is gone!
