25SS parts needed

I need a top bearing carrier for the latest style 25SS, it uses trigger mechanism and power pack. I think the one off a 20 or 25 HP fishing motor will work if it has the power pack mounted on the side of the motor. I bought this motor in a box, everything was supposed to be there, guess what and no telling what else is missing. I've already got the powerhead together so hopefully that's the only missing part. Let me know if you have an extra of these laying around I would sure like to get this thing finished before racing season gets here.

Hey Bob,

Post a picture of that engine block to see it is a 25XS era block. I have a fisherman 25XD in the basement that I will be taking apart to keep the clamps the powerhead is there and complete. I do not know what kind of shape the carrier is in.

Bob, I may have one avail and a laser-cut hold down ring to enforse it. hold downs are new laser cut stainless>>>$30 and well worth it. adds a 4th bolt to keep carrier from breaking. very common in these motors----especially runabout. 20hp/200 late model fishing motor 79-81 are same. put 20hp in your e-bay search/favorits list. I have a loner if you need one asap. also check with 25M-miskerik. will get back---gotta git to work>>>>-4 degrees this morn---Dang COLD!!!!!!!!!:eek:

No Steve I haven't found a bearing carrier yet, I have the good hold down. I am hoping Dave will look at your picture and can tell if his parts motor has the correct carrier.
I'll look and see if I have any extra 2 ring pistons that are good, I know I have a bunch of gaulded ones!
