Does anyone remember a racer out of Texas with the last name Stippich? not sure of the spelling, first name Dick or Carl.
I'm posting this for Albert Snell, who's a new AOF lifetime award member. Thanks

Ed I remember Carl but has been years since I saw him and dont know where he may be now. It was back in the 60's I believe and he was at most of the Nationals.

The Carl I knew was from Wisconsin. He was the father of Keith and Gary "Bones" Stippich of Stock Outboard Racing Fame. Carl is long dead. Keith had been living in Salt Lake, but I've lost track there...
Carl work for Mercury for a time and built the Twister Crafts... His boat were famouse for bleached blond color wood... and perfect construction...

Ron is correct!
Carl died I think in 1985. His daughter Carol lives in the Milwaukee area as does his grandson and former racer John Ramma. The last time I saw Gary was about 20 years ago at Beloit and he was working for Chrysler outboard at the time. Also,
I think that Keith is still in Salt Lake.
FYI, I have a Stippich runabout in my garage. It was built as a 35ssr and is 12 ft 6 in lenght. We used to run it in C and D with the old merc stuff.
I believe the last boat Carl built was for Roland Deckert and that boat is on display in Seattle.
