winter testing

Could anyone out there tell me where I could go testing during the winter. The water in the northeast is really hard now. I would prefer not to have to travel further than North Carolina. Just trying to get ready:rolleyes: :eek: :(

I'd be coming from the new york area.

Cold is one thing,but solid water is tuff to float your boat unless ice boating is the order of the day.
