" There is a great disturbance in the Force" 50-R DMH for all three days.

Han Solo: Stay sharp. There's two more coming in. They're gonna try and cut us off.
Luke: Well why don't you outrun them? I thought you said this thing was fast!
Han Solo: Watch your mouth kid, or you're gonna find yourself floating home. We'll be safe enough once we make the jump to hyperspace. Besides, I know a few maneuvers. We'll lose em'!
Han Solo: Here's where the fun begins!

Don,

The weather is going to be great and besides Sue and I are having a sit down supper for 300 of our closest friends and it is a open bar (actually 2 of them)

Just show up!!!!

Now the deal with Dave possibly being a no show, in the past 10 or so years he did miss one, well at least he did not race but him not being there with free food and booze well I would put the odds at about 7/2... that would be $2.00 you give me and if he is a no show I'll give you $9.00....

( he knows how much liquor we are bringing)

Haha....not being a crybaby. I am supposed to go to a family reunion Sunday, and I am starting to run low on money....doing well on paper, but customers are not paying me on time. Like I said...if I get the new prop I have ordered by Friday I will be there. Otherwise I am going to stay home this year. Hopefully it comes by next week.

Dave, I have a nice cut down 45 prop I think might be worth a try on one of them Tohatsus. Think it is like
7 1/2 X 12 cleaver. 50-R

daveracerdsh
09-13-2010, 10:39 PM
Well thank you....that is very generous of you. Is it a cleaver or a round ear?

daveracerdsh
09-13-2010, 10:41 PM
Just re read your text and saw that it is a cleaver. 7 1/2 might be to small...not sure. Seems like the Tohatsu likes props in the 7 3/4 range. might be worth a try though. Dave.

how about ME, YOU, TROY, and WESTBY put our best Tohatsu props each in a Crown Royal bag (Carl should have lots of these available) and we mix em all up and each draw from from a box and race what we pick!!!!!!

daveracerdsh
09-13-2010, 11:08 PM
Lol...I don't think Troy is going to be there....but that wouild be kinda cool. I had a new prop built exactly like my best (and only) D wheel...and it is 8 mph slower then my good wheel. The blades are exactly the same, thickness, pitch, diameter, everything. I was more then stunned....

This thread is sort of getting hijacked...but it would have been so cool if APBA would have provided all the props for the Merc challenge series 20 years ago....but as to Lawrence....I have a wheel that sure as hell does not work for me....if somebody that has a tohatsu want's to try it I am down. You can pick it up at the next SOA meeting.

daveracerdsh
09-13-2010, 11:21 PM
Ha ha...well..I only have one prop...the rest of them to me are total junk. If something happens to my number one wheel I am toast......I picked up 3 very nice 45 wheels from Jim Sobel last year....and they don't work at all with the 3 banger. Back to the thread....who is coming in D stock? So far I see Gweedo, Darren, Kyle Lewis. Who else?

Ahh, Davey Dave, you're rivaling my level of conceit! I wasn't talking of you, I was talking about when I purportedly* beared out on D3 at the Nats! You on the other hand, no angst necessary, I knew you were unintentionally pushing me out, but I just had to turn left at the start buoy to stay in the course! Good thing we had warm weather to dry out your helmet!!!

*my lawyer would be proud for using that $5 Word of the Day!

Lawrence should be fun, and next year even more fun if you get a CMH too! Let's just say when those W and V boats come out to attempt to race at our high level of speed, expertise and challenge our high degree of naivety, my chances of racing CMH next year will go up substantially.

this coming from the driver of 56-R who NEVER looks to his inside when entering the first turn..........oh ya, you've hacked me a few times...........

Yah...I never look to the inside when I enter the first turn. I did not mean for this thread to become a pissing match, but for you to say that is just not fair Darren. I drive hard, just like you and Gweedo and everybody else in the class does. If I had a dollar for every time I have got hacked in DSH, I could retire this weekend.....and..if you go down the beach, you can ask every driver in every class if they have got hacked...and they will say, yah...they have. But, that being said....You bet I pushed your teamate to the weeds. John came across my bow going down the backstretch (I was catching him) and **** near blew my helmet off. I bet you didnt see that... I was not mad about it in the least....it's racing. But....paybacks are a *****. If you think I am a dirty driver...get in front of me and shut the door on me. It is simply not fair for you to say what you did. That being said...I am still 50-50 on being at Yelm...I need to get some clients to pay me, and I need to get my new props. Hope to see you all there.

Any guess on boat count for ASH?

Probably 5-6 depends on how many out of region come up.

I'm assuming J Michael will be in San Diego, and it doesn't look like the 10R will be running.

1-ASR, 111R
1-ASH, 112R

PS-If any one reading this talks to Jan Shaw remind her we won’t be there until Saturday morning.

the scales would know!!!!!!! And since it is a "record race"......you can sure as hell bet the boats will be put on the scales!!! My bet is that a 25SSR will be faster.........what if that boat wins and breaks the record?? He will then be tossed for weight and consider the CSR that finishes behind that 25SSR who had a legitimate shot at the record. Do the testing at another race...............and yes, my CSR will be in the race at CSR weight!!!!!!

I am sure i am toast for this weekend....but we will see. I have a feeling that if we get decent water, cool temps etc..that the DSH one mile record is going to go down. Whoever gets out front, and breaks the clock has a good chance. I feel that there are 4 or 5 rigs that will be there that could break it. Pretty cool....but a lot of things have to fall into place for that to happen.

I like your "pit-spot of confidence"! Now, when you set all your records, you don't have far to go! (Also, you don't have to wait for me to get out of your way when pulling out on Sunday evening...)

I'll be heading down tonight. Have to attended a wine-tasting fundraiser education foundation.....chew, swish and spit!
