I have an NOS 1:1 prop shaft gear that I would trade for an NOS (or one that is great shape) 1:1 pinion gear for an A/B/C quickie.

now I see them, but, unfortunately they will probably end up in the hands of that megarich bidder/seller "wingthing". The same guy that just sold the 20H on Ebay for over $3500........into a collectors hands they will probably go.......:( :(

next time you give us here a shot at your stuff first, before Ebay. I need the gears to assemble my Cmod Lower unit or I won't be able to bring it to Whitney Point.

Sam, by the way, you can end the auction early also..........there is an explanation "item no longer for sale".......

I know a lot of people do do this....I even see them type "subject to prior sale" or something like that, but it is clearly against the agreement you agree to when you set up your account.

Like I said, if someone tattles on you, your account is done.

so I guess you would be the "tattler" Sam...........thanks for your help.....NOT!

Darren,
If you don't get a set of gears bought and If you make it to the nationals, I'll have a 1x1 30H foot and a 4-blade high rake wheel (I got from David L6) for you to use. Will need a mark-30 driveshaft and overall lenghth to make a shaft for it.
------
Just a thought-----I have bought and sold and "horse traded" to macghb99 and wingthing through E-bay on several items and hopefully will continue to do so. Both have been fair and honest to deal with.
--------
All of us are looking to get the best return on our extra treasures that we have looked so long and hard for to aquire.
-----
I'm sure the person that bought the 20H has looked long and hard for one and is thrilled to "just write the check" for wingthing's many hours of work and searching to make that motor avail.
------
macghb99 recently got $183.50 for a KG-7H flywheel and I bet both were happy with the deal.
--------
I was thrilled to pay "too much" for a set of +.030 O/S 20H pistons for a A-Mod I want to try, and If I can beat the Hot-rods into the first turn and hold them off for just one lap it will all be worth it!!
------
I have even thrown $100 over what I feel something "I gotta have" is worth and not watched the auction.
--------
E-bay has had an amazing effect on prices but at least stuff is becoming available!
-------
Will list on hydroracer first for race stuff but then it's off to e-bay. once race season is here it all goes back on the shelf (like in Darren's garage).
---------
let's keep this fun--Please
----------
Looking forward to meeting all of ya'll someday whether it's in my wake going into the first turn or afterward sharing a few "brown bottles".

I appreciate your comments and generous offer. BUT, another fellow Hydroracer. Net member read what Sam so "kindly" did and is sending me a prop shaft gear.

Steve, I will be at the Nat's in NY.........I gotta get to race with the "big dawgs"!!

As to Ebay, I have also had many great dealings with other members, on and off of Ebay and will continue to, even if it risks my Ebay "membership", as helping others and fellow racers is WAY more important than Ebay and my "priority".......

hey Steve, are you still looking to trade that lower unit for a Yamato unit?

STEVE FRENCH

NOW WE'RE HAVING FUN!!!
------
Would trade for a yamato foot with hatchet nose and water pick-up. Or trade-in on Bass unit with H2O pump.
--
That is reason for selling extra stuff.
----
Have 16/21 30H stock foot with 3/8" stub, ready to go.
-----
Will need time to assemble 1x1 foot. 30H stock housing. Your choise of 3/8" or 1/2" square drive stub.
--------
1x1 high rake 6 1/4"X 11 1/2 pitch 4-blade dewald wheel #V-575 I got from L6 is also avail. I think I have $325 invested in it. Would not reccomend on stock 30H foot if your rig gets light in back at end of straights. L6 might have more info on it.

YOUR TURN-"big dawg" ;)

I have a set of 1x1 gears that would be ok for "lake Play" >>>easy on throttle if under a 30H.
Teeth are all there but pitted and some chips at outer end of teeth.
----
Pre E-bay offer?
------
Very Good/Excellent prop shaft--$100 Pre-E bay
---------
Let me know ASAP;)

Sam has passed this statement around the net...

"Daren saw Steve's post on hydroracer.net and asked Steve on the hydroracer.net board to stop the auction and sell the gears to him privately"

Can you recall me asking you to do this?? I did not think so....

Steve, are you requesting a Yamato Hatchet foot or a stock one that has a nose cone and low water pickup done by Lee?

I need to buy a set of pistons for my 44 merc. The Mercury website says they cost $161.83 each.*ouch*
I know these are not the same as 'A' pistons, but I just wanted to give a little perspective.
Should pistons that have not been available for many years be more or less valuable? I guess the bidders at the auction decide that.
I hope you kick some Hot Rod butt Steve! :)

Jeff, I can get them for you cheaper than that!! Steve, if you are thinking of building that Amod Merc to race at the Nat's, email me.......

Gears listed on e-bay sold on e-bay.
---------
Gears/prop shaft listed on e-bay sold. High bidder has ageed to 1st option at $225 (reserve).
--------
Offer to end sale was from me. Deleted when reminded about E-bay policy-----end of story>>>>>PLEASE.
-----------
Darren,
Had good results on e-bay sales. Also possible sale of csh used in ad pics to future racer.
Going to ask Lee to rework/add hatchet nose and fill cressent on one of my 16/21 30H foots and possibly order stock yamato foot with hatchet rework to try. Have not had chance to test carbon fiber/Aulht rig so not sure how its going to act. My motor builder wants me to try stock merc foot on this rig first. He has found lift in stock foot an advantage if set-up right.
Just don't think I can afford another 65/70 MPH "Charlie Brown on the pitcher mound" cartwheel.

Glad you found gear you needed for your 1x1 30H foot.
May jump up to c-mod with 25 rig if time allows.
See ya out there-----Steve

Steve, you would race Cmod too?? Merc I assume? This could be a very heated battle..........Merc vs. Yamato.

I might bring along my Merc Amod, just in case. I would like to join you on the course giving them Hot Rods hell!

STEVE FRENCH

Would be with 25mod omc if time and race director allow (may not get to at a national event). Had several good rides in c-mod with it last year at club races-----needed the test time.
-------
Was 5th in points 2003/2002 apba with A-mod mercs. 2-commode 20H motors, 1 KG-motor. spent most of season at back of pack but getting closer. Motors are getting too valuable for parts to keep running much longer. Have a couple Hot-Rods in mind if I continue with class after/during next year.
----------
Jeff55v ---I'm very pleased with the pistons/purchase I got from you on E-bay---still looking for more and rings!!!. Was about to part-out the a-mercs if they had not come along. still trying to decide what crankcase assy to use. kg with cut down kg-7/bendix flywheel (2-lbs) and risk beating the small jurnel rods out of it (happened 2002 with padded 20H cyl), or 20H crankcase and loose accelleration out of corners with heavy 20H flywheel.
I'm Also looking for 2-ring 44 pistons for my 25Mod Merc---"ouch"
----------
Does any one have a complete Motoplat ign. conversion avail for 20H (I saw one on G, Stillwell's web, site). I have a batt coil/point ign with 1 1/2-lbs rope pulley that eliminates the phaelon 20H flywheel, but would like to get away from points.
----------------
25SS/Dale >>>>any luck with search? -------I kinda took over your thread. Buy the prop shaft and will send gears for you to deside what their worth>>>>return if not interested.
-------------
Darren, Might want to back off on Sam. I gotta believe he was trying to save me from getting myself in trouble. I seem to have a way of getting into it easily. This is a very small fraturnity and we all need each other to keep this sport going. Sam has a wealth of info that I would not want to loose access to.............Steve
