Hey,
It's too warm here in Maryland so the family and I are heading up to Sutton, Canada next week.
What can we do with the kids for a day in Montreal?

Well, Sutton Ontario is about a 5 1/2 hour drive from Montreal, but about 15 minutes North of me !!
Give me a call when you arrive, you can come and help me shovel the driveway !! :p
Let me know which one it is.

Well shoot !!!
Guess it'll have to wait till Camden to rub shoulders with the "Largest Family in Outboard Racing" :D
Sutton Quebec is in the Eastern Townships, just East of Montreal. Beautiful Country without a doubt. I used to live in Ottawa, Canada's Capital, which is only about an hour West of Montreal. I used to ski quite a bit in the Townships...............But then I discovered Killington Vt., and never went back.
Have fun, and remember: Dress warmly in layers !!
It's COLD in them thar hills !! ;)

Great choice Mount Sutton is a nice ski resort. Make sure you check our the Knowlton Pub, located in Knowlton Quebec!
As for Montreal lots to see and do, you might want to take the kids to the Biodome. It is an indoor eco system, a Canadian North Seaworld sort of thing. It houses animals and aquatic life from all different regions of Quebec, from penguins to Beluga whales etc.....
Lots of shopping in downtown Montreal on St.Catherine St., and I'll have to check and see if the Montreal Canadians are in town next week so you could possibly take in a game.
Send me an email or give me a phone call and I can maybe meet you guys one night and do the tour guide thing.
Bring lots of warm clothes, it's -35 here this morning plus wind chill!

Brewster racing is still going strong. Last year we had six of us racing and this fall my youngest son Ryan will be number seven starting out on his ninth birthday in JSH. Saturday, September 25th at Ford City, Pa. I bet Don Allen's bunch from Mich. and Wisc. may even have us beat!

I did a quick count on the Eldredge family. I might not have them all.... but since 1926 there have been at least 15 drivers! There are five still running. In another two years there will be another one too (he will turn 9 in a year). Ten years ago at the Pro Nationals race. Barbara (Eldredge) had in the 250ccH alone: a father, uncle, sister, husband, cousin and a son!

B1, Wow the Eldridge's are huge!
Since 1954 we have had Gene, Dana, Jim, Ken, Lisa, Jack, Jeff, Jay, Jon, Jerry, Christine, Jonathon & Justin. My cousin Chris and his wife Jane raced in the 80's but have the last name of Hannaford. So drivers so far with the Brewster name is 13. Ryan will make 14 this fall.
I find it ironic that when we purchased a used jsh rig two years ago, it had a decal on it that said, "eldridge racing".
Families are racings bread n butter!

One of the great things about our sport...
We've had 9 racers with the Augustine name - 5 still racing. Then there are the countless ex-friends we dragged into the sport, too...
Hey Jeff!
Today is Elvis' birthday...I wonder what Prissy is doing (remember Kittanning?)
Bob,
We might check out the biodome; our youngest is three and I don't know if she'll be up for 5 days of outside stuff in the sub-zero range - Thanks for the offer on the evening tour - I'll call you if I can tear myself away, in the evening, from a good old Brador (do they still make that?)
Sutton is beautiful! Mom and bad took me skiing there for the first time in 1975.
Jeff,
We'll see you in Camden!
Thanks,
Sean

Sean, I will never forget that, Psyilla Baby!
If anyone has a bad day at the races, just ask Sean for his Elvis impersonation. Prepare to pee your pants laughing!
Have a safe trip up north and stay warm!
