For 2004, the insurance rates for a SO, MOD, PRO, J or SLT two-day event is as follows (this includes both liability and medical):
$5M coverage: $1735
$3M coverage: $1709
$1M coverage: $1648
So I was wrong. Less than $100.00 in savings for the $1M in coverage. The extra coverage is a good deal. Nevertheless, please note: this is a REDUCTION in the rates from last year and is a significant accomplishment by Don Allen, Sr. and Gloria Urbin especially when we were bracing for increases.
Also, FYI: SO, MOD, PRO, J and SLT have the lowest category rates with the sole exception of Vintage. Every other category pays a higher premium for comparable coverage. 14-H.
