Several updates for this weekend's race.

1. Catered dinner in pavilion will be served at 6:30 pm. Price for adults has been reduced to $8 and kids 10 and under is $5. You must purchase a dinner ticket at registration so we can get an accurate head count to the vendor.

Please let me know by tomorrow if you plan on eating. This helps me get the vendor close for Saturday.

2. We will be pitting on the street due to very soft ground down by the soccer field and bathrooms.

We had 9/10 of an inch of rain in 15 minutes last night and 70MPH winds. So the water is going to be very high. But many of us are ready to watch some good races.

I'm sure come Sunday we will see a post from Paulie or the Niesen's saying how they tested all weekend and it was fine, but MRC had to make the call today and given all the info we had it sure looks like there is going to be a lot of debris in the water. Plus we already had some drivers cancel on their own prior to MRC making the decision. We really did not want to cancel but it would have been pretty difficult putting on this race.

Well Said Larry

It was a tough race in the spring last year for the title series. I burnt my 125 up when my water pickup was blocked. Some guys were pulling 1/4in splinters out of their tattletales!!

Is the race still on for this weekend? My grandpa and i were planning on going to see some good racing.

We actually tested a little bit this morning. You had to find a spot with no debris and make a pass and clean it up before going out. It would have been very tough especially with the river still rising and if the winds pick up. If there any chance this is going to get rescheduled?

No race this weekend but we are going to consider it for later in the year. Based on a full schedule in July it will have to be in August if we do it.

Paulie - I've heard rumors that the lake is closed to race boats after September 1 for duck hunting, is this true? If not, maybe a September date would be nice.

I don't think We will be putting anything on the water.
Not enough debris in the lake. Would be nice to reschelude
