Alright, turn out is looking pretty good so far. Now let's get some official pre-registration going. I've attached an entry blank that you can open and type in your info. Then all you have to do is e-mail it back to me at aimiep19@verizon.net. Just put Tabor Entry Blank in the subject line and attach it. Make sure you let me know who you are. This is always a great help. If you're not so computer savvy, let me know and I'll try to figure something out. The more I get in early, the easier it will be to make a schedule and be organised and ready to race on time!!!

Just got a few more entry blanks. I love you people!!!! Thanks Herb Lanphear and Dave Augustine. For everyone who has not preregistered...please try to get it in. Otherwise, I am going to try to have it set up for a while on Friday. Anything we all can do to make it not as hectic on Saturday morning is great.
Ryan, can I get your entry blank for PS? Nevermind I'll just peel off a bud label.
Also, Howie, Can you put me down for scoring for every set, ha ha! I do wish I could do patrol boat once though.

The Boss has decided to have our hardwood floors refinished, so *if* the job gets done, and *if* I can haul all the furniture back in place, then *maybe* I can scoot on down to Tabor City where I can do whatever the race committee requires. *If* I get all this stuff done early enough, I could also bring the "Naughty Lady" for patrol duty if all y'all think you'll need her.

A spine I got - it's a lack of kitchen pass points. Used them all up getting my wood boats ready for the 2010 Wooden Boat Show in Beaufort, NC.
Me: Hey, Sweets, my pretty cedar strip dinghy won Best of Show!

Just got off the phone with Allen, the caretaker at Tabor Lake he said the water has been slick the whole week. The forecast is for good weather thru the weekend. Come on down or up for a good weekend of short course racing. Harris Willard is catering the Saturday night party. Should be some good food. CVRA needs every boat we can get to keep this race site. If we have a poor turn out this race will probably be Dunn, no pun intended. Thanks in advance, Steve/ broke all to pieces 10-Z

Come Folks ,we don't want to lose this site. We need R 5 and R3 support. If we lose this site we can only blame the racers. in my 50 years of racing, i have been to too many last race at this site races, it does not feel good to know this will be the last race you will go to at a site.I know we can get more racers to come support this race. I know most people are short on money, so am i with Jesup only two weeks away, but lets do the best we can to save Tabor City.

Again, sorry to about not having the results printed at the end of the race Sunday...the club printer ran out of ink during registration Sunday morning.

Did anyone happen to pickup a pair of black Life Line cut pants? May have been left on ramp or bleachers as we were last class to run.

Mark, they were left on the bleachers and placed in Steve Dunn's trailor. We didn't know who's they were. I'm glad they've been claimed!

Thanks Aimie, you're the best. I will get with Steve, he will probably be going to Jessup.

Aimie,
Check the Sunday results for 20SSH. Should third place be "1-K"?
Great job by the Pond ladies for their hard work and leadership!

A little fatherly coaching going on; perhaps some tips on how to get ahead of George Stillwill.

Ok. I've gotten a lot done today reviewing these race results and calculating the money received.
First of all, I need to make a change to the final results in AXSH for Saturdays final results. 1st(32E) and 4th(F131) has not changed. However, after double checking the scoring programs calculations I found that on time 2nd goes to 14F and 3rd is 26Z. Sorry about the confusion.
Also, thanks to Tom's sharp eye 3rd place in the 20SSH final on Sunday should read 1K. I'm actually surprised that was the only typo found so far.
After counting and recounting the money a few times and calculating where everything went. I believe we might have actually come out on the positive side for this race. On that note, thanks to everyone who showed up to support CVRA and region 4. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and had a great time!

How short is "short"? How does it compare to Denton? A lot longer or a little bit longer?
Denton was unique RE short, great racing there! Tabor City is sort of between Denton and Camden short. Short enough to create great racing! Instead of who has the $$$ and time to check out two dozen long course wheels, and pack a lunch for those Wakefield, MI size straights *yawn*.
Thanks Bill. Its just a little too far for us to travel during the school year. We may go sometime in the future, my brother lives about an hour away in Supply NC and we could combine the visit.

Looks like the Hardwood Floors won out over Taber City! We missed you and the Lucky Lady! Hope the floors have a nice shine!:shucks:

I think it was Howie getting the coaching. Mr. Full Figured racer was looking pretty sporty out front in CSH. Maybe I'll try it. Steve 10-Z

I thought I was all done with the "school year" schedule mess, but nooo . . . Starting Monday my darling granddaughter will be double dipping, high school classes in the AM and college in the PM. I'm doing Mommy Van duty - eek!
Supply is close to Tabor City, just below Southport. Gotta watch it on weekends though - tiny road and beach traffic.
