I need some directions from Montreal to PUgh Boat Works in Knoxville!!!!

I bought a runabout from California for my son and I'm meeting the folks in Knoxville next week as they are picking up a capsule etc.... there.

I was told that 81 south is the way to go but mapquest says Buffalo to Ohio, etc.... is the route. I know the Pro guys used to race in Norwood and Ogdensburg so I'm hoping someone has a shortcut or a good route to follow.

Bob dont use Mapquest, I used it for directions to Loch Haven this past summer and the directions took me almost 2 hours in the wrong direction. Your best source will be Eric Pugh if he chimes in some time today.

Yup, my son is going to use it in AXSR next summer. I was going to build one but thought twice about that. Building a new AXSH istead.

I just hope the boat can handle the shock of the trip home in snowy cold temperatures. Plus May testing in Ice cold water

When we raced in upstate NY we took 81. Busy road, but so is 75 and thats probably too far east. I'm not looking at a map but I guess its still the best choice. I used it a few years back when I went Watkins Glen. When 81 ends, take 40W, then 75N, get off at Callahan rd. and its abooot 3 kilometers past the Home Depot.

Have you been in touch with Gary?

Kilometers ???

Eric--I'm impressed !!

Bob: Just follow the sawdust tire marks on the road from the Cheapo Depot. They don't blow away--They're glued on with West System !!

Eric,
Do you and Gary still take the boat racers to that club, when they come down your way or has marrage stopped all that. What was it called the Catch One Club....(for racers only):p :p . I might still have my membership.

BOB; -throw a motor in the van and bring Jonathin down here for a few days of testing. If I got as far south as TN , I would not stop until it got warm.
Actually, I would stay on I-81, until south of PA and the lake effect snow storms. Then head west.

Bob:

Just a thought; Take a box of "La Fin" down to Eric. I'll settle up with you the next time we meet.
I swear guys, this stuff is like eating a sangwitch !

Dave your memory is way to good. It's now called Th' Katch Show Club. We gave that up quite awhile back. It seemed that a certain group from ohio aways wanted to go. Seemed like good idea at the time.

Jeff, terrific idea about the La Fin. Not having much luck with the local distributor. Bob, i'll just settle with you. Bring enough to so I can share. Bring an engine too. You can test right here. Knoxville winters can be mild.

The Devil's Ale.........La Fin Du Mode. Never try it Bob?

It is indeed Le Champion Mondial.

Careful if you get some Eric. Make sure it gets REALLY cold, and DON'T drink it from the bottle. It's double fermented, the 2nd round happening on the bottle itself, so there's a layer of yeast at the bottom. On the other hand, if you don't mind the crunchy bits--GO FOR IT !!

At one time, you could only get it in Quebec.

It's brewed in Chambly by Unibroue

well why didn't you say so!!!!!! Eric, I'll be bringing some of our great Quebec Beer down with me. If I can't get La Fin I'll bring one of the other Unibroue brands "Maudit Biere"
