No RV's or tents will be allowed in the pit area. Except for special needs. lots of room by the boat ramp. Dry camping no hookups We want to keep the Compound in the center clear for group activities. No not want a bunch of tents stakes to trip over.
A very nice RV park just outside of town called RV Reflections.

Bill, I clicked on the link but it looks like some sort of generic HI Express reservation site, with no way of entering that you are part of Nationals. Is there a Double-Secret Promo Code for the reduced rate, or do we have to call to get the rate?

And what IS the discounted racer's rate?

Thanks,

R-19

Patrick. The discount rate of $74.99 is plugged into the link. Just fill in the dates from Aug 8 through Aug 14 and the Rate will appear. Do Not Call them as they cannot give the discount rate over the phone. This is the best and newest hotel in town has a free breakfast not just rolls and coffee so a family will save some money. I have 60 rooms blocked at the discount rate. Very nice indoor pool and spa.

We have started a page on the Region 11 web site. WWW.boatracingr11.com.

I didn't find the website for the hotel helpful at all. I entered the proper dates, beds, non-smoking room, etc..... and it didn't give me ----.

However, I do have the phone number, so I'll just call the buggers.

What was the problem?
Go to www.boatrcaingr11.com and on the site menu open Oroville Nationals. Then to accommodations. The link is there. Just enter the dates from Aug 8 to Aug 14. All the rooms are Non-Smoking.
If you must call them ask for Megan.

It isn't giving the correct rate or populating the promotional code, so the rates are showing up at 102.99 per night. You need to get the code to enter or have them fix the link.

What a pain! I called the guy at the hotel and he walked me to the Region 11 website to get this done!

I am sorry it was such a pain. For some reason their link went down just when it was needed most. They where able to get the one on the Region 11 web site up and it is working. However, This one on HydroRacer is not working. I do not know why as it is the same link.
I have other Very nice hotels that I will release when the Holiday books up. This hotel is supporting our event and I want to steer all the Business to them as I can to them first. Just bear with me and keep me posted with any problems. My E- Mail is Boyes.Bill@gmail.com

It is too early to set up a schedule as we have no idea who will show up. The plan is move in day and registration will be Sunday Aug 8th Testing Aug 9th. Eliminations will start Aug 10 and 11. Aug 12/13/14/15 will be the finals. This all could change as we get closer to the event. I do not think we will have eliminations is FEH. It is just a guess on my part though. We have decided it will not be necessary to be there all week to race one class as in your case. The Chief Scorer Kay Boyes will take a late entry on a limited basis PROVIDED the ENTRY is PRE-REGISTERED. either fAX, MAIL On-LINE. We do not want to turn anyone away. Just do not show up the day of your race at 8 a.m and hand her a entry blank. As for the 45ss we have decided they will run on Saturday Aug 15. as SST45 have a big event AUG 7/8 at Long Beach Ca. How many FEH's do you think will attend?
Are you planning to attend the Stock/Mod/pro Divisionals June 19/20 at Oroville?

will there be a "racers rate" for lodging for the Div's? Did I hear they "might" be 3 days? Looking forward to the event (and the Nats).......

Yes working on a racers rate for the Divisionals.Sanction will need to submitted soon like next week.
We have decided to not have a 3 day event. It will be necessary not to have Cracker Box, and OPC on the schedule(sst45, SportC and 120) This is the Western Divisionals for Stock/Mod and Pro and we need to insure they get run.
Classes will not run both days.
There will be some instructions on the Sanction that will be new for Region 11/10 that will be painful for some. IE MANDATORY PRE-REGISTRATION. by e-mail,fax,ON-LINE. US mail. No advance money is required. We need to get the race started Early Saturday and this will enable us to have an early drivers meeting.
NO RV nor Vehicle in the pits except by permit only. RV parking at the launch ramp. Vehicle parking just outside of the pits along the roadway. NO TENTS in the Compound.
Boat/Equipment trailers will be directed to park by the Race Director.
We cannot allow the pits to be taken over by RV's and Vehicles.

The Holiday Inn Express has told me that all double rooms are booked. There is still a few Kings with sleeper sofa's and suites available.
I will release other hotel information in a couple of days when I firm up a good rate and a nice hotel. Go to the Region 11 web site and open up Oroville Nationals for information. More later. Please just bear with me.
For those who want to RV it. Either the race site by the launch ramp(NOT PITS) DRY or River Reflections off HWY 70 just outside off town. Right on The Feather River. VERY NICE. About 2 miles from race site.

Not an issue for next weekend, but for Nationals:

Are there any Partner Hotels for Nationals that are PET FRIENDLY? HI Express doesn't allow pets:mad: and Jasper The Wonder Dog will be attending his first Nationals.

What's a Pet Owner to do? :pullhair:

Won't work....this dog won't even leave the yard. He's smart enough to know where the free meal ticket comes from.

Better than a Teenager, though...at least he doesn't pretend to know everything :)
