You know better !!
I had to buy the whole rig just to get the 55H.
Did you sell yours yet?
Steve
The Sport C class runs stock 40 ci Nissan / Tohatsu 2 cyl motors with stock lowers. They run around 60 mph??
I mau know where you can get a motor.

Sam, if you read my above post, you will see I stated the motor was probably a 44, most probably a 44XS copy, but with an electric start red flywheel (not a 44XS item).
So, Ralph, what have you got there? What are your plans now?

Rig came with an extra lower unit with new gears and a couple of props. The previous owner installed the starter, as he was just a laker. I think it is a 44 ci powerhead around 1960. It was white. It is on a 55H mid with a QS lower. I am going to hang onto the motor and spares for now.
As you know, I was looking for a vintage E or F runabout, but now my son wants to go rubber boat racing.
If I can find an SST 60 motor or a good 15" OMC 75 hp (don't faint, Merc guy...), I might think about selling the Merc stuff.
