My deepest sympathies go out to Steve and all of his family. The whole Johnson family is a class act. Craig and I had many great battles in 15SSH between 1991-1992 and even though he hasn't raced in a few years, I always enjoyed our conversations at the Region 7 races or anywhere we may have crossed paths in the racing community.
I had just talked to Craig a few weeks ago to help him with a job search, as he just recently graduated from engineering school. It goes to show how quickly things can change.
This is tremendous loss to the Stock and Mod categories in the Midwest and to anyone who knew Craig.
Sincerely,
Mark Miskerik

Thank you edit this into something you can post ,I don't think I'll do a very good job.Craig took his own life tonight . he was depressed about not finding any work after collage. we didn't expect this. he was planning to Race DSH next year.
He was active in region 7 and 8 and held many positions as a club member and as a stock commissioner in the 90s My folks are going to take this real bad he was 32

Steve; I lost my youngest son a while back so I can feel the pain you're having. I just wanted to tell you that you are in our prayers and thoughts.

I spoke to Steve this afternoon. He and his family, Mom and Dad, are having a really tough time as this was completly unexpected. There are no arrangements made yet as there are some processes that have to be followed in this state. As soon as I know any more I will post. Keep the Johnsons' in your prayers.
